Business insider melaporkan bahawa pengguna peranti iOS yang sudah menggunakan iOS 7 sudah mencapai 26 peratus yang mana ianya adalah lebih banyak berbanding pengguna Android yang menggunakan Jelly Bean. Walaubagaimanapun, perkara ini adalah disebabkan penyedia rangkaian yang mahu menggunakan sistem operasi Android yang lama disebabkan perbezaan spesifikasi dan banyak lagi.

iOS 7 diperkenalkan dengan perubahan terbesar berbanding iOS 6 dan merupakan sistem operasi pertama rekaan Jon Ive selepas Apple bertindak memecat pereka iOS sebelum ini iaitu Scott Forstall.

Control Centre merupakan satu ciri utama yang amat bermaanfaat bagi pengguna, ciri ini memberikan pengguna akses segera kepada WiFi, Bluetooth, slider kecerahan skrin, lampu ‘flashlight’ dan beberapa perkaran lain. Ciri bukanlah sesuatu yang asing bagi pengguna Android namun ini adalah sesuatu yang baru bagi pengguna peranti iOS.

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean bukan sahaja diberikan beberapa penambahbaikan berbanding Jelly Bean 4.2, versi 4.3 ini diberikan beberapa ciri dan penyelesaian kepada beberapa isu yang menghantui pengguna Android 4.2 Jelly Bean sekaligus menunjukkan komitmen tinggi Google yang sentiasa bertindak memperbaiki sistem operasi mereka demi mengekalkan daya saing dengan iOS 7.

Salah satu ciri terbaik pada Android 4.3 Jelly Bean ialah Beam yang sama seperti Apple Airdrop. Berlin/Seoul: Samsung Electronics Co Ltd dan Qualcomm Inc melancarkan jam pintar dikenali Galaxy Gear, dalam usahanya meneroka pasaran ‘peralatan boleh dipakai’ yang dianggarkan bernilai AS$50 bilion. 

Ia susulan pasaran telefon mudah alih mewah kini mulai tepu. Kedua-dua syarikat berkenaan melancarkan peranti baru berkenaan pada majlis yang hampir diadakan serentak di Berlin dan San Diego. 

Namun begitu, dengan jangkaan harga jualan AS$300 (RM986) seunit, beberapa penganalisis serta-merta mempersoalkan sama ada harga berkenaan ada mahal. 

Jam tangan pintar Samsung Galaxy Gear berfungsi sebagai aksesori untuk telefon mudah alihnya yang kini menerajui pasaran dengan skrin kecil yang menawarkan fungsi asas seperti gambar, panggilan bebas kawalan dan mesej segera. 

Jam tangan pintar Qualcomm iaitu Toq boleh memainkan muzik dan mengendalikan panggilan telefon dan mesej. 

Ia bakal menjadi jam pintar pertama dengan boleh skrin warna ‘Mirasol’ boleh sentuh yang boleh dilihat dengan mudah dalam cahaya yang cerah. 
Pelancaran oleh Qualcomm itu, yang mendominasi pasaran global untuk aplikasi pemproses bagi telefon pintar dan tablet, dilihat tidak mencatatkan jualan laris tetapi sebagai rekaan rujukan atau peranti untuk dipamerkan pada skrin Mirasol, dengan harapan teknologi paparan itu akan diterima secara meluas bagi apa juga jenis pemakaian. 

Samsung, yang menjadi pengeluar telefon bimbit terkemuka dunia, menyasar Galaxy Gear akan meningkatkan permintaan bagi rangkaian telefon pintar androidnya kerana ia kini berusaha untuk mengekalkan kedudukan terhadap pesaingnya, Apple Inc. 

Pelancarannya, bertepatan dengan pelancaran pameran perdagangan elektronik pengguna IFA di Berlin, yang juga mengisyaratkan gergasi Korea Selatan itu adalah lebih pantas dalam inovasi di belakang Apple, yang dijangkakan melancarkan iPhone terbarunya minggu depan tetapi tidak bercadang untuk melancarkan sebarang peranti yang boleh dipakai. 

“Saya percaya yang ia akan menjadi ikon fesyen terbaru di dunia,” kata Ketua Eksekutif Bersama Samsung dan Ketua Perniagaan Mudah Alih pada majlis Unpacked 2013 Episode 2. 

Potensi pasaran bagi peralatan boleh dipakai adalah sangat besar. 

Memanfaatkan kemajuan teknologi suara, biometrik, komunikasi dan simpanan data menggunakan cloud serta penggunaan tenaga, jam pintar dan peranti yang boleh dipakai lain dianggarkan mempunyai nilai pasaran AS$50 bilion menjelang 2017, menurut Credit Suisse. 

Apple Inc dan Google Inc juga merancang untuk memperluaskan perniagaan dalam segmen itu termasuk memperkenalkan peranti yang boleh dipakai di lengan, yang mana penganalisis menjangkakan ia akan menjadi fasa seterusnya bagi lonjakan dalam komunikasi mudah alih. - REUTER-bharian

The plane has a total of 160 AA batteries and on its first flight it flew for less than 60 seconds and covered 400 meters in air. This is quite impressive especially when a pilot weighting 53 kg (117 lb) was also on-board. The curved and funky wingspan of the plane is 31 meters and is designed to cater the sophisticated needs of aerodynamic principles.
Indeed the efforts of students from Tokyo Institute of technology are remarkable and we expect to see more from them in coming future. The research group is continuing to work today and hopes to commercialize the technology one day. Check the video below to watch the plane in action.
