In a post-credits scene of Fast Five, Hobbs is given a special file by U.S. Customs agent Monica Fuentes (Eva Mendes) concerning the hijack of a military convoy in Berlin. In the file, Hobbs discovers a recent photo of Leticia "Letty" Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez), Dom's presumed-deceased girlfriend, revealing she survived the events of Fast & Furious, leading to the thought of a possible sequel. Vin Diesel and series producer Neal H. Moritz are already developing the sixth film Fast & Furious 6,^[1][2] which will be written by Chris Morgan.^[3]

Director Justin Lin stated in an interview that he intends to get Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson and Tyrese Gibson back as well as others.^[4]

Plot:A year after the attack on Lake Victoria by prehistoric piranhas, an eradication campaign has left the lake uninhabitable by life, and the town itself has been largely abandoned as a result of the drying-up of their main revenue source, tourism. At a nearby lake, Clayton (Gary Busey) and Mo (Clu Gulager), two farmers, walk into the water to recover the body of a dead cow. Piranha eggs laid inside the cow hatch, and the farmers are killedby the swarm. Maddy (Danielle Panabaker), a marine biology student, returns home for the summer to the waterpark she co-owns. She finds to her horror that the other co-owner, her step-father Chet (David Koechner), plans to add an adult-themed section to the waterpark with 'water-certified strippers', and re-open it as "Big Wet."
