Deepika Padukone might quit Raana

On the day when the shooting of this film commenced, Rajnikanth fell ill and became very serious. He was admitted in two hospitals in Chennai and later on was taken to Singapore for hi-tech treatment. Rajni returned from Singapore after fully recuperating. He was advised complete rest by the doctors. Rajni is still under rest in spite of his good health. In the view of the foregoing there were lots of speculations in the air that whether Raana is really going to see the light.

At this juncture there is news that Deepika Padukone is likely to quit Raana. Deepika while speaking about this said, "Till now there is no information about Raana. Nobody has informed me that when and where the shooting of this film is going to commence. The last information I received was that Rajni is recovering from his ill health and that he is undergoing rest. Apart from that there is no news. Moreover the production side has not asked me for my call sheet also and I have also not allocated the dates."

This sudden announcement has shocked the crew of Raana. It is understood that Deepika has continuously signed for new Hindi films and that she will not be a part of Raana.
