Brazilian giants Corinthians are closing in on Manchester City striker Carlo Tevez for a cut-price deal.
Corinthians president has claimed that they are still interested in the Argentinean striker and also a deal “is close”.
Tevez is having a tough time with Manchester City as he found guilty after the Munich row with Roberto Mancini.
Corinthians president Andres Sanchez said: “Tevez is close to joining Corinthians, though many people do not believe it. Before the offer was €40m, now the figure is €18m.”
While on the other hand Manchester City are not planning to offload the striker for cheap as City spokesman said: “I can confirm that, following a phone call between Roberto and the chairman, the club’s formal position is that no offer for Carlos will be considered unless it reflects true market value”.
