Synopsis: "Nanban" is an upcoming Tamil comedy drama film directed by S. Shankar. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Vijay, Jeeva, Srikanth, Ileana D'Cruz, Sathyan and Sathyaraj. It is a remake of the 2009 Bollywood blockbuster film "3 Idiots", directed by Rajkumar Hirani, which was adapted from the novel "Five Point Someone" by Chetan Bhagat. The film will be dubbed into Telugu as "Snehitudu". Translated to "Friend" in English, "Nanban" tells the story of three young men who become steadfast friends despite having very different goals in life. However, when tragedy strikes one of them, will the three men be able to remain friends?
