13 years before, Laura Dutta had paired with Arjun in a Tamil film titled Arasatchi. She who was a popular Bollywood heroine married the famous tennis player Mahesh Boopathy last year.
After she gave birth to a child, she distanced herself from acting. Director Bejoy Nambiar had approached her for an important role in the film David which has Vikram and Jiva in the cast.
Initially Laura Dutta refused to act in this film on the grounds that she had to take care of her kid. Later one she changed her decision.
She has agreed to act in this film because this film is being produced in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages and this could be a big opening for her re-entry.
At the same time, she has also stipulated conditions that she will be able to participate in the shooting only on the dates which would suit her.
