PAS Youth Advice To Karpal Singh Over Valentine's Day

PAS Youth urged DAP chairman Karpal Singh to show respect for the Islamic perspective on Valentine's Day.

Its deputy chief, Nik Mohamed Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz, said the party's statements on Valentine's Day have been directed specifically at Muslims.

"When we (PAS) advise Muslims, the advice is not meant for people of other religions.

"Issues of morality differ whereby, in Islam, not only is adultery immoral but also close proximity of (unmarried) couples," he told reporters.

Karpal Singh urged PAS last Saturday to withdraw a statement it had made against observing Valentine's Day.
